Teosyal ® Information and Background
Product Summary
The Teosyal® range, manufactured in Switzerland by Teoxane Laboratories, consists of several monophasic hyaluronic acid based products of non-animal origin, which are highly biocompatible, offering patients immediate and long-lasting results. The Teosyal® range has a reduced protein and bacterial endotoxin level resulting in less hypersensitivity reactions. Teosyal® was launched in the UK in 2005.
Generic name: Non animal stabilized hyaluronic acid.
How is it made? By bacterial fermentation from streptococci bacteria.
Is a skin test required before treatment? No.
Is it temporary or permanent? Hyaluronic acid is completely broken down within the skin over a period of months, eventually leaving no trace of the filler.
Licenced status: Medical device.
Should be used by: Trained members of the medical profession only.

Teosyal Global Action (30g)
Suitable for mild to moderate wrinkles of the face, nasolabial lines and periorbital area and for redefining the lip contour. TEOSYAL 30 G GLOBAL ACTION offers a lasting effect from 6 to 9 months on average.

Teosyal Deep Lines (27g)
This is a dense and voluminous implant used to treat deep wrinkles, Nasolabial Folds, Marionette lines. It is injected into the mid and deep layers of the dermis.

Teosyal Kiss is highly viscous and boasts high filling power for the lips. It is designed for reshaping lip contours, increasing lip volume, treating wrinkles around the mouth, supporting lip corners and rehydrating the lips. TEOSYAL KISS offers a lasting effect from 9 to 12 months on average.

Teosyal Ultra Deep
Teosyal Ultra Deep is the Teosyal range’s densest product, achieving an immediate volume-boosting effect. It is designed for creating or restoring facial volumes, resculpting facial contours, treating deep wrinkles in thick skin, erasing folds in the skin, correcting minor ptoses and restoring the face’s original curves. TEOSYAL ULTRA DEEP is strongly reticulated and optimises your long term results: 12 months on average.

Deep dermis:
Teosyal Meso
TEOSYAL Meso is recommended for the rehydration of the dermis and, is intended for the revitalization of the face, the neck and the decollete. It prevents from the appearance of the first wrinkles. It is injected uniformly and in a superficial way on zones to be treated, by the technique of multiponcture with needles 30G 1/2.

Not to be used in Individuals with a known hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid. Pregnancy and breast feeding.
Duration of effect This depends upon the degree of correction required, your age and lifestyle as well as the correct placement of the product by a practitioner. Trials indicate that the Teosyal® range is effective for 7 to 12 months for the treatment of wrinkles. Teosyal® Kiss is manufactured in such as way as to obtain a longer-lasting effect - averaging 9 to 12 months and Teosyal® Ultra Deep is said to last 12 months on average; both durations are according to the manufacturers.
Reported side effects Transient erythema (redness), swelling, possible discomfort at the implant site, this usually resolves in a few days. Any persistent reaction must be reported to your practitioner.
