QMS Botox® Training : Foundation training course.

Designed and developed to give you the confidence you need to start treatments safely

This full day course 9-6 pm has been developed to ensure that you understand the use of Botulinum Toxin therapy , commonly referred to as , “Botox®”. There is plenty of time for questions and please ask about anything you are unsure of.

Your trainer is an experienced Doctor and will introduce you to this foundation level training course using a step by step approach.  We will take you through all the anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, medico-legal and business aspects of Botox® therapy and receive a complete complimentary ‘Botox® business in the box’ pack to get you up and running.

  • Brief History  and development of the Botulinum toxin Type A
  • The uses of Botulinum toxin in aesthetic practice 
  • The Pharmacology & Toxicology of Botulinum toxin
  • Facial anatomy relating to Botox® treatments
  • Storage and preparation of Botox®
  • Forehead , Glabellar and crows feet treatments
  • Corrective treatments for eye lid droop or eyebrow raising
  • Client consultation, consent , photography and aftercare
  • Medico-legal considerations [ staying on the right side of the GMC etc ! ]
  • Safety considerations and anaphylaxis
  • Hands-on practical sessions [ 4 hr session ]
  • Business stationary, plans and development
  • Supplies to get you started[ included in course free gratis !]

No previous knowledge is assumed.

Training will focus on the following areas listed below. We encourage participants  to have a go themselves with saline injections so you can appreciate what the treatment is like [ No obligation of course, just a thought !] At the course itself, there will be models who have agreed to participate in the training for you to practice on [ or bring a friend who wants treatment , reduced fee for treatment ]

  • Glabellar lines
  • Forehead lines
  • Periorbital lines (crow’s feet)
  • Bunny line

Full course notes are provided for you to take away. The entire course is in the notes and on cd rom , nothing left out.

  • RCN registered Nurses *

*Botox® is a prescription only medication (POM) and can only be supplied by a registered Doctor or Dentist or RCN who has done a Prescribing course. This does not apply to participation on the training course.

What ID should you bring

To enable participation in the practical session and in order to be awarded your certificate you must bring with you  Photographic ID [ driving licence or Passport ]. All other certificates will have been check prior to the start of the course [ GMC, GDC, RCN, HPC, MDU/MPS ]

Course Venue

Malmasion, Glasgow.  Every 1-2 month depending on demand.

Other venues being considered in Aberdeen,  Dundee,  Carlislie , Manchester , Birmingham and Nottingham.
